'24' Movie: There's An 'Institutional Desire' To Get It Done

FOXKiefer Sutherland in "24" It has been at least a year since Fox's 24 ended its run, but buzz surrounding a large-screen feature obtaining in which the Kiefer Sutherland thriller left off still lives large. Showrunner Howard Gordon, available Thursday in the Television Experts Association's summer time press tour to advertise Showtime's Homeland, noted that conversations are "certainly happening" to accept franchise towards the giant screen. "There's an institutional desire to get it done,Inch he told The Hollywood Reporter. "I understand Kiefer wants to get it done, everybody wants to get it done. It's nearly choosing the best script and not simply doing the work to get it done.Inch STORY: Howard Gordon: "The Timing of [Showtime's 'Homeland'] is Signicant, Accidental and Fortuitous' Gordon, reflecting about the dramatic thriller's conclusion, noted that finishing the series was a constant fight and, while happy with the job he's done, is nervous by what an element would entail. "It is something which i think whether it does not happen, I won't be heartbroken," he stated. "I am very happy with running and just how it ended. It had been very difficult to have it towards the finish line with a few type of sophistication in closure. Why screw it up? But when you find the correct story ..." "I miss the smoothness terribly and that i know Kiefer does, too," he stated, adding that what's presently in development happens abroad and, unlike traditional instances of the series, may likely expand to a lot more than 24 hrs.
